HISTORY OF TALL BUILDINGS

The "Invention" of the skyscraper began with George A. Fuller (1851-1900), He worked on solving the problems "load bearing capacities" of tall buildings. The history of tall buildings began since human evolved and civilization started and since the middle ages, engineers have engaged in a battle for the sky. The ancient pyramids of Giza in Egypt, the Mayan temples in Tikal, Guatamala, and the Kutab Minar in india are the great examples of how hard human have been trying to reach the sky.

Early ages there were towers as sky crappers. Made of heavy stone, towers had thick, sturdy walls, but the rooms were dark and cramped. With stones came the steel which made history in tall skyscraper.
